Turnstiles is the dedicated Billy Joel tribute band based in South Florida. With covers that emulate Billy’s licks, fans everywhere will enjoy an authentic Billy Joel show!
Turnstiles is led by vocalist and pianist Tony, with Paul on Bass, Dave on Guitar, Eric on guitar, Jody on Flute and Sax, Jeff on Drums and Greg on keyboards.
Consisting of some of the finest musicians in South Florida, Turnstiles pays tribute to the Piano Man himself with various covers and renditions of Billy Joel classics such as “We Didn’t Start the Fire”, “Piano Man”, “It’s still Rock and Roll to Me”, “Lullaby” and a host of other tunes that will keep your feet moving!
Each member of Turnstiles has a long history of studying and performing music which includes playing various instruments all over the country. Before Turnstiles, lead singer Tony created the band Thrills where he did extensive recording and touring, opening for bands such as Foreigner, Quarterflash, Nick Lowe, Juice Newton, and Orleans.
In the years following, Tony played with many of Long Island’s top bands and then in 1993, he formed what he believes was one of the first tributes to the piano man, “Stormfront”, which earned him an audition for the traveling production of the Broadway show, “Movin’ Out”.
Available for public and private events, Turnstiles has turned heads as they sold out shows across the USA. Available for international shows and festivals, Turnstiles can always guarantee to bring you the best of the Piano Man.
Currently gearing up for their 2016 Vision Tour, Turnstiles has made a name for themselves as they continue to honour and celebrate the music of Billy Joel!
